One to One Yoga for Developing Students

Yoga for developing students can be used to develop either physically, emotionally or spiritually for example:

  • Improve personal fitness
  • Enhance sports performance
  • Improved concentration
  • Deepen self-exploration and self-awareness
  • Develop a deeper relationship with yoga

The developmental yoga approach can also be used to support teachers and trainee teachers further their relationship with yoga.

 

Developmental Yoga

When applying yoga for personal development the practice will focus on establishing a solid foundation of a regular home practice. This would include primary āsana (postures) and/or prānāyāma (breathing techniques). As your lifestyle adapts to include a regular yoga practice, the form and complexity of āsana and/or prānāyāma will be refined and developed in order to meet your needs.

If you are interested, developmental yoga also provides opportunities to learn to chant or to study relevant yoga texts on an individual basis.

Developmental yoga can also help recovery from injuries and prevention of further injuries.
